Ryan veers off beaten path in re-election campaign
NASHUA - While other candidates have cited housing and property taxes as the primary issues in mid-term elections, State Rep. Linda Ryan (D-Nashua) is taking a different approach as she looks to retain her seat representing Hillsborough District 4 in the House of Representatives. She said there have been significant challenges to maintain funding for nursing homes, the Sheriff’s Department and the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, the latter of which has been in operation since 1989. “Hillsborough needs a new prison built,” said Ryan. “As state dollars decrease, solutions to these costly issues continue to plague District 4 and all of New Hampshire.” She also said there has been no funding for the state’s bail reform law, which took effect in September 2025.
