Telegraph photo by TOM KING Dom Keegan had a key double but then hit 13 homers in the HR Derby to lift the Silver Knights past North Shore on Thursday night.

Dom’s Bombs did it again for the Nashua Silver Knights.

Dom Keegan outhomered North Shore’s Cam Climo in the tiebreaking Home Run Derby by a whopping 13-3 to give Nashua a 4-3 comeback win over the Navigators at Lynn’s Fraser Field on Thursday night.

With their win, the Silver Knights (16-11) put more distance between them and North Shore as well as Brockton in the race for the second and final playoff spot.

Brockton (13-15) dropped a doubleheader to Westfield, and with the loss the Navs fell to 12-14. Nashua has a three-and-a-half game lead on both.

This was the second HR Derby win on the season for Keegan,

The Silver Knights actually trailed 3-0 early before Ben Rounds got them on the board in the fourth with an RBI single.

The Silver Knights tied it with two in the seventh. Nick Shumski walked and Keegan doubled him to third, and he scored on John Mead’s ground out to make it 3-2. Keegan scored on Luke Beckstein’s RBI single to tie things at 3.

And that’s how it stayed until the Derby. Josh Roberge started and went four allowing three runs on six hits, but relievers Jake Thibault, Hunter Owen, Gabe Driscoll and Jack Pawloski checked the Navs on just three hits to keep them off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

After tonight, Nashua returns home for four straight home games beginning Friday night at 6 vs. Brockton. They host New Britain on Saturday, Brockton on Sunday, and North Shore on Monday, the latter a makeup game.

Prior to Sunday’s game the Nashua Lions Club will induct broadcaster Woody Woodland, former Nashua Mayor Maurice Arel, and local youth sports advocate Al Savage into the Holman Sports Legends Hall of Fame.
