Tough day for locals as Nashua, Merrimack, Amherst fall
It wasn’t a good night for the area Wednesday on the youth baseball front. Here’s a look:
NHCBL
SEACOAST NAVY 5,
NASHUA 2
The visiting defenders took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on the road but couldn’t push across any more runs, stranding 10 runners, including six in scoring position.
Henri Boudreau was solid on the mound in a four inning stint, allowing just one run. Hunter Routhier took the loss, while Corey O’Day fanned three in 1.2 innings.
Offensively, Daniel Trezpacz, Jake Mitchell, Kam Thibault, Isaac Zhang, and Drew Gryniewicz all had hits for Nashua, which is now 3-7 and hosts Laconia Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Holman Stadium.
DOVER 12,
MERRIMACK 2
The locals dropped their sixth straight to fall to 3-6. Kyle Slate went 2 for 2 and drove in both Merrimack runs.
Merrimack looks to get back on track today at 5:30 p.m. vs. Seacoast Navy at DWC’s Harvey Woods Field.

Three Londonderry pitchers limited the visiting Sabers to two hits and six walks.
The hosts scored three unearned runs in the first and that was all they would need.
The Sabers, who threatened in the third, fourth and sixth innings, got good pitching from the trio of Sean Brennan, Bobby Henline and Troy Brennan. Londonderry managed just five hits and four walks while Amherst pitching combined for eight strikeouts.
Amherst (2-6, 3-6 overall) hosts Merrimack at Souhegan High School today at 5:45 p.m.
