Busy weekend for Nashua area high school track teams

Boys track

Nashua North

The Titans were among seven teams at Phillips Exeter on Saturday. Senior Rory Curran won the 1000 meters in 2:30.79.

Nasir Perry was second in the hurdles with a season-best 7.64.

In the high jump, Sean Quinlan and Isaac Smith each placed, clearing 5-8.

Nashua South

The Panthers were among the Division I teams at UNH on Sunday

afternoon.

Paul Marchand was sharp, scoring the long jump win (21-6) and a second in the dash (6.64).

Alvirne

Top players on the day for the Broncos were Davonte Mckoy-Sophos, third in the 300 at 37.48; Justin Briussard, third in the shot put at 57-2.5; and Paul Balletto, fourth in the 600 at 1:29.91.

Merrimack

The 4×160 relay team is ready for states, winning with a 1:16.48 clocking. They were Eli Demeo, Johnathan Paulhamus, Declan Covell and Zach Twardosky.

Paulhamus was third in the dash at 6.85, and Ryan Fischer placed fourth in the 1500 (4:21.57).

Bishop Guertin

Ethan Holt scored the high jump victory at 6-feet for the Cardinals.

Joey Lupo placed second in the long jump (19-1) and fourth in the 300 (37.93). Jacob Pacheco took fourth in the hurdles (37.93) and high jump (5-10).

Hollis Brookline

Hollis Brookline was strong in Sunday’s last chance meet at UNH.

Michael Curtin set the tone, winning the dash in 6.8 seconds.

Chase Adams took second in the hurdles (8.28). Aidan Maguire’s clocking of 1:32.62 was good for third in the 600.

JJ Kennedy leaped 19-2.25 for fourth in the long jump.

Campbell

The Cougars had one winner on Sunday, Joshua Hoffman, who threw 43-5.5 in the shot put victory.

Milford

Caleb Korthals placed third in the 1500, crossing the line in 4:15.47.

Girls track

Nashua North

The Titans look ready for next week’s state meet after a superb performance Saturday at Exeter.

Tori Conrad captured the shot put with a heave of

38-7.75.

Adaobieze Nwankwo won the long jump with a leap of 16-4.

Abby Coy racked up the points with a second in the dash (7.58) and another in the long jump (16-2).

She was also fourth in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, as did teammate and runner-up Olivia

Mazerolle.

Other Titan players included Mariana Santos, third in the 600; Dantia Braccio, third in the 1000; and Chantal Finlay, fourth in the 300.

Nashua South

The Panthers were second in the 4×800 with Nadia Zhecheva, Cali Coffin, Grace Harris and Meghan Conway teaming for a 10:19.41 clocking.

Anal Dominguez added a fourth in the shot at 36-7.

Alvirne

Adrienne Mckoy Sophos sprinted home in the 300 to win in 44.66.

Molly O’Donnell leaped to a pair of runner-up finishes, at 5-0 in the high jump and 16-3.25 in the long jump.

Merrimack

Adele Alexander took second in the 1500 with a 5:02.85.

Bishop Guertin

Grace Jones had the Cardinals lone win, soaring 16-4 in the long jump.

The Cardinals placed second in the 4×400 as Jones teamed with Fiona Doherty, Elizabeth White and Mary-Kate Finn.

Doherty was fourth in the 600, and Caroline Towle was fourth in the 1000.

Milford

The Spartans looked sharp in Sunday’s last chance meet at UNH.

Leslie MacGratn cleared 5-2 to claim the high jump victory, and Robyn Krafft threw 34-3.5 to claim the shot put victory. Renee Wilson was second in the long jump at 16-4.25.

The team of Wilson, Krafft, Sarah Sawyer and Rachel Gizzonio raced home in 1:29.46 to win the 4×160 relay.

Souhegan

Katie Noyes placed fourth in the dash during Sunday’s last-chance meet at UNH. Her time was 8.03.

Campbell

Tori Allen paced the Cougars, placing second in the hurdles (9.45) at UNH on Sunday.
