High School Highlights: Merrimack hockey tips Coe-Brown

Boys hockey

MERRIMACK 2, COE-BROWN 1

Zach Stimeling scored twice while Dom Carozza had two assists as the Tomahawks improved to 2-1.

Jason De Beaucourt and Evan Roy added an assist apiece while goalie Ben Hardy had 22 stops.

ALVIRNE-MILFORD 4, SPAULDING 3

The Admirals won a thriller on Hayden Ricard’s goal with 1.8 seconds left in regulation at Skate 3 to even their record at 2-2.

Corey Girourard added two goals for the locals, while Madelynn Debelis scored her first career high school goal.

Bradyden King had 25 saves for

Alvirne-Milford, including a few key ones down the stretch to keep the game tied.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, KEARSARGE/PLYMOUTH 1

Brian Putney, Aidan Chretien, and Nick Dapolito each scored for the Warriors (3-1), with assists by by Sal Vella, Cole Giersh, Derek Wagner, and Colin MacDonald.

Chris Slater stood tall in net stopping 20 shots.

Wrestling

Bishop Guertin 33, Winn. 0

The Cardinals improved to 5-0, scoring pins from Anthony Fernandez, Steve Bouchard, Zach Rioux, James Murphy and Matt Frechette. Andrew Ha added a 5-0 decision win at 170.

Goffstown defeats Milford

Greg Gagnon had a second period pin for the lone Spartans’ victory.

Hard matches were wrestled by Rudy Schnare, Ben Kilgore, Danny DeBernardo and Deacon Currier.

Nashua South 57, Exeter 24

Ryan Salemi, Kyle Salemi, Colby Spencer, Ruben Le, Connor Goodwin and Nate Zalzal all scored wins by fall for the Panthers. Kyle Vancelette scored a 4-0 decision win.

South tuned up for Saturday’s Nashua Hall of Fame Tournament with the big victory.

Nashua North 42, Keene 39

Mirenis Torres and Mickey Mathson scored pins for the Titans. Spencer Whiting picked up a nice decision win to help seal the victory. Kyle Vancelette scored a 4-0 decision win.

Merrimack 54, Bow 29

Four Tomahawks picked up pins on Wednesday night as Merrimack cruised to a 54-29 victory over Bow.

Anson Dewer knocked off Bow’s Andrew Bliss at 152 pounds, Adam Presa earned a win at 160, Syd Dhanraj took a 182 pound bout and Griffin Ostrom earned a victory at 195.

The Tomahawks (2-1) will visit Nashua South this weekend for an invitational tournament.

Girls basketball

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 70, LEBANON 63

Christina Balsamo had a team high 28 points while Elisabeth Stapelfeld added 16 as the Cavaliers improved to 4-0 with a huge Division II win. Also for HB, Elizabeth Bonnette had nine points, six rebounds and seven assists while Cheyenne Colbert led the winners with eight rebounds to go with her six points. The Cavs host Bow on Friday at 6 p.m.
