The defending champion, top-ranked Cougars (15-0-2) got past their first tourney hurdle with three goals by Joaquin Heller and a single tally by Mike Cosco, both seniors.
Campbell next will host No. 8 Prospect Mountain, a 4-0 prelim winner over Sanborn, in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

No. 12 Lin-Wood and No. 5 WLC battled for 100 minutes without a goal, which took the game to penalty kicks.
It took six of those to decide and the Warriors were upset, ending their year with an 11-6 mark.
Lin-Wood is now 8-7-2.

The Cougars overcame some state tourney jitters, dropping the first game and then taking care of business in the next three, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-22.
“The girls persevered and fought for every point,” said coach Melissa Miner.
Senior Jordan Kanaley led the way with eight aces, six kills, five digs and 27 assists. Lolly Brown added four aces, four kills and six digs, while Mallory Reczko had nine kills and four digs.
The Cougars head to Winnisquam in the quarterfinals on Friday night.
