Nashua High School North’s Brandon Gillis was three shots off the pace of medalist Ryan Brown on Wednesday at Rochester Country Club as Brown’s 34 paced Bedford to a 194-209 win over the Titans and 194-223 win over host Spaulding.

Gillis’ 37, combined with a 38 from Michael Jensen and 44’s from Brian Provencher and Alex Richard helped the Titans earn the split with a win over the Red Raiders on the opening day of high school golf action statewide.

Now 1-1, North will travel to Keene for a meeting with the Blackbirds Wednesday, Sept. 3.
