FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced their All-Decade Team on Wednesday, and there weren’t many surprises.

Julian Edelman was the only player to hold two spots on the team, one as a wide receiver and the other as a punt returner.

The offense was as follows: Tom Brady, QB; Julian Edelman and Wes Welker, wide receiver; Rob Gronkowski, tight end; James White, running back; James Develin, fullback; Danny Amendola, flex; Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer, tackles; Logan Mankins and Joe Thuney, guards; David Andrews, center.

On defense, Chandler Jones and Trey Flowers, defensive ends; Vince Wilfork and Lawrence Guy, defensive tackles; Rob Ninkovich and Kyle Van Noy, outside linebackers; Dont’a Hightower and Jerod Mayo, inside linebackers, Stephon Gilmore and Malcom Butler, cornerbacks; and Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung, safeties.

Besides Edelman as a returner, Matthew Slater was a specialist, Ryan Allen the punter and Stephen Gostkowski the kicker.

And, it goes without saying, Bill Belichick as the head coach. Belichick, Brady, Mankins, Welker and Wilfork were on the previous All-Decade team as well.

The team was selected by a panel of media, alumni and staff.
