A better candidate for Republicans
When faced with two good candidates for the 2nd Congressional District to defeat Ann McLane Kuster, one must look at subtle differences like a candidate’s support for the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
Gary Lambert truly believes in the end goals of RGGI, as shown on his website. I agree with them, also. However, the common goals we have for reducing emissions ought not to come from another layer of tax-funded bureacratic regulatory agencies with offices of paid police staff who count carbon trading cards. Market-driven solutions for lower-emitting power and higher efficiency are always the ones with the biggest payback and best technological advancement. Marilinda Garcia has been opposed to RGGI because she recognizes it as a bigger-government, top-down, permanent albatross for the Northeast. For that reason, she is the best conservative candidate in the race.
