She’ll remember the ‘Crowne Six’

By Staff | Jan 4, 2014

I don’t accept Rep. David Campbell’s apology (which looks like a futile attempt to save his political career) for viciously killing the ducks at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua.

He has angered a voluminous constituency that will remember the “Crowne Six” at the polls, where he will hear our message loud and clear: “We will not tolerate animal cruelty.”

New Hampshire’s wildlife is one of its most treasured tourist attractions, yet he thanks that wildlife by viciously and intentionally killing them. Not only did he show blatant disregard for the ducks’ well-being, he also traumatized witnesses to his actions.

The public is sickened by these cruel and heartless actions. Would it have been so inconvenient to, perhaps, drive his car around the ducks or ask one of the bystanders to “shoo” the flock out of the road? It might have cost him six minutes of precious time, but instead he chose to waste six lives and cause human collateral suffering with the full knowledge that when it’s BMW vs. ducks, ducks will lose every time.
