President’s critics ignore the facts

By Staff | Nov 30, 2013

Recent poll numbers show lower approval ratings for President Barack Obama. Well, you’d wonder how anybody could have a decent rating, given all the sniping by his opposing political party whose only objective seems to be his failure.

I rate the president as an honest, effective, and steady leader.

This president promised to end the unnecessary war in Iraq. He did. He promised to end the war in Afghanistan next year, and he will. He promised to contain Iran’s zest for nuclear weapons, and he is doing it – without a war. He promised to relentlessly track down Osama Bin Laden, and we all know what happened there.

He promised to improve the economy. Has he ever. The stock market, one measurement, is more than double what it was when he took over. Unemployment is steadily declining.

He promised to help uninsured people get some health insurance. He did.

For those in recent polls who say he is not trustworthy, I am wondering what they are smoking.
