Hockey event in Nashua was wonderful tribute to Ricard
Last weekend’s response to the pond hockey tournament held to honor Hollis’ Cam Ricard was a wonderful thing.
More than 200 people turned out to celebrate the life of the 17-year-old Hollis Brookline High School student who died on his way home from hockey practice Dec. 9 when his truck hit a patch of black ice and slid off an Everett Turnpike exit ramp.
Several thousand dollars were raised to start a scholarship fund in Ricard’s honor. But more than just the money, the event was a spiritual success that was a true representation of the energy he brought to life and the joy he spread to all of those he touched.
