David Brian Brodeur, Sr.

Oct 4, 2024

David Brian Brodeur, Sr., 63, of Long Shores Drive, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Portsmouth Hospital. David was born on August 30, 1961, in Nashua, the son of Norman “Joe” Brodeur and Katherine (Wilmot) Caldwell. David served in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman and optician from 1982-1989. He then went on to graduate from Rivier College in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing. David served many patients in a variety of nursing roles, including immunization education, care of our nation’s veterans, and in-home health care. He was always putting patient care and patient self-advocacy first. David was an avid reader, lover of nature, games, trivia and peanut butter M&Ms. He was a nerd extraordinaire, qualities and love of which he passed on to his four nerdy children. David is survived by his daughter Niki Atkinson and her husband Geoff of Lower Burrell, PA, and his sons, D.J. Brodeur and his fiancée Sidney Akin of Rochester, Jesse Brodeur of Nottingham and Alex Brodeur of Nottingham. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Lyanna, Luna, Caleb and Samwise, who love their Pepe greatly. David also is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Marteloze, Brenda Carrier, Rose Faucher, Sandy Moore and Vina Briand, aka #2-#6. He is also the favorite uncle of his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brother-in-law Ernie Faucher and nephew Ben Carrier. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00pm at 657 Long Shores Drive in Barrington, NH. Our Dad/Pepe loved and admired villains, feeling that they were merely “misunderstood.” Gatherers are encouraged to wear their favorite villain garb (costumes welcome too!). For those who wish, the family asks that donations be made to the Oral Cancer Foundation, 3419 Via Lido #205, Newport Beach, CA 92663. Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services/603Cremations.com, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
