Daniel E. Guilmain

Daniel E. Guilmain, 97, died peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Simone R. (Gendron).

Daniel was born in Nashua on January 26, 1924, and was the son of the late Anaise (Caron) and Edward J. Guilmain.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII until he was honorably discharged. Daniel was a double purple heart recipient during his time in the Army.

For several years, he was employed as a draftsman for Improve Machinery until his retirement.

In his free time, Daniel was an avid golfer and enjoyed working on projects around his home. He was a true outdoorsman, soaking up sunny days and spending time at the beach and boating. He cherished time spent with his family especially at family gatherings.

Daniel is survived by his five children, Bruce Guilmain and his wife Michelle of Springfield, VA, Lynne Kursewicz and her husband Paul of Epping, NH, Mark Guilmain and his wife Pam of Auburn, NH, Jane Stott and her husband Allen of South Hampton, PA, and, Kim Charron and her husband Todd of Alton, NH; his son-in-law, Michael Munley of Epsom, NH; his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Rev. Roland Guilmain of Brighton, MA and his three nieces.

In addition to his wife, Simone, he was predeceased by his daughter, Gail Munley; his sister, Vivian Maynard, and his brother Girard Guilmain.

Relatives and friends are invited to Daniel’s visitation on MONDAY, November 8th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, November 9th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
