Dorothy (Russell) Price

SUNAPEE, N.H. – Dorothy (Russell) Price, 90, of Sunapee Cove, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the New London Hospital.

She was born in Troy, NH on December 11, 1930 the daughter of Edward and Bessie (Merrifield) Russell.

She attended school in Troy, Cushing Academy and then Keene State Teachers College. Dottie and her late husband moved around while he was serving in the US Navy and then as a businessman. Wherever they went she was always involved with the local church.

She was a member of the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church in New London. Dottie was very happy living at Fisher’s Bay in Sunapee for over 30 years and enjoyed walking/hiking, knitting and doing needlepoint. Most of all she loved being a wife, mom, grandma and great grandma.

Her husband of 57 years, William J. Price, died in 2009. She is survived by three children and their spouses, P. Jane and The Rev. Dr. Paul M. Petersen of Winter Springs, FL and DeRuyter, NY, Cynthia L. Price and Ferdinand Dupere, Esq. of Southampton, MA and W. Russell Price, MD and Honorable Pamela G. Price of Sunapee, NH; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church, 82 King Hill Road, New London, NH.
