Holland ‘Holly’ May McRoberts

Aug 5, 2021

Holland “Holly” May McRoberts, 37, of Bow, NH and formerly of Merrimack, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with her husband and parents by her side.

She was born in San Diego, CA on October 9th, 1983 to Steven E. and Gienah L. (Lee) Forbes of Merrimack, NH. She was a graduate of Merrimack High School Class of 2001 and attended college in Nashua and California.

Holly was an enthusiastic animal lover, adventurous foodie, and traveler. She lived fearlessly, overcoming health obstacles from a young age and showed the world she was not to be underestimated. Holly’s independent spirit took her back to California after high school, then to Louisiana during her courtship with her devoted husband Shane McRoberts. After a whirlwind engagement, Shane and Holly married at Lake Tahoe and she then traveled the country for years as a dedicated military wife. The couple eventually returned to New Hampshire and settled in Bow, where they spent the past several years surrounded by family and the peaceful woodlands sheltering their home.

Holly will be forever loved and remembered by Shane, her husband of 16 years; her parents, Steven and Gienah Forbes; a brother, Trey Forbes of Merrimack; a sister, Christina Forbes and her husband Joe Flis of Manchester; two nieces she loved dearly, Mira Lee Flis and Juliet Holland Flis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother, and countless friends.

All services for Holly will be held privately.

For those who wish, contributions in Holly’s memory can be made to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire at www.rescueleague.org
