Thomas Francis McNulty

Thomas Francis McNulty, age 84, of Durham, NH, formerly of Nashua, NH, passed away on June 12, 2021 with his wife of 56 years at his side. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 5, 1936 to the late Catherine (Benson) and John McNulty. At the age of 5, his family moved to Franklin Square on Long Island where he grew up.

Tom served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 and was stationed in Korea. He then received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and his MBA in Finance from Northeastern University, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Tom worked in New York for AT&T and New York Telephone for 10 years and then relocated to Nashua where he worked for Sanders Associates/Lockheed Martin for 33 years.

An active member of St. Christopher Parish for over 50 years, Tom was a long time Eucharist Minister; served on the Parish Council, Finance Committee and Task Force, and as an alter server at daily Mass and at funerals. He also was involved in several improvement projects around the church. Tom was an active member in the Nashua community as a youth soccer coach, a member of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Nashua Transportation Service.

Golf, bowling, tennis and softball were activities that Tom enjoyed throughout the years. He was an avid reader and followed many sports teams, especially his beloved Yankees. He was happiest working out in the yard cutting the grass and trimming hedges.

Tom is survived by his wife Constance (Johnson) McNulty, his three children of whom he was very proud; daughter Ellen and her husband Jeffrey Gibson of Northwood, NH; son Thomas Esq. and his wife Dr. Kimberly McNulty of Topsfield, MA, and daughter Dr. Nancy McNulty and her husband Dr. Benjamin Forbush of Norwich, VT. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Joseph, Michael and Molly Gibson, Andrew, Griffin and Caitlin McNulty and Cameron and Charles Forbush. He is also survived by his brother John McNulty and his wife Audrey, his sister-in-law Helen McNulty and his brothers-in-law Peter Johnson and his wife Patricia and Robert Johnson and his wife Brenda, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Edward McNulty, his sister and her husband Gertrude and William Ewart and his brother-in-law Paul Johnson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Brookhaven Hospice, especially Laurie and Leandra. They would also like to thank the caring staff of the Memory Care Unit at RiverWoods in Durham, NH, and Bridges by Epoch in Nashua, NH.

Services: Visitation will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 5 to 7 PM. A Christian Funeral Mass will be held at St Christopher’s Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua, NH, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 10 AM followed by a burial at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St., Nashua New Hampshire.
