Robert L. LaPan

NASHUA – Robert L. LaPan, 92, passed away on April 1, 2021 at the Courville at Nashua. He was the beloved husband of Leona M. LaPan (Thibault) who predeceased him in February 2016.

Robert was born in Proctor, VT on December 3, 1928, and was the son of the late George and Madeline (Fredette) LaPan.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army and also in the US Navy Reserve. For many years he was employed at Producers Dairy and later for Sears Roebuck and Gateway Motor Company.

In his free time, he was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, jig saw puzzles, and was a big fan of the Detroit Redwings. Robert was very involved with the Boy Scouts and proudly received the honor of the Bronze Pelican Emblem. He also enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family.

Robert is survived by his son; Peter LaPan and his wife Gretchen of Arlington, MA, a daughter; Patricia LaPan and friend Laura Blake of Manchester, NH, four grandchildren; Nicole LaPan, Andre LaPan, Jason Gagnon and his wife Renee Blouin-Gagnon and Meredith Gagnon-Dube and her husband James, and 3 great-grandchildren; Tai Gagnon, Chase Gagnon, and Gryffin Dube as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert’s family fondly remembers him with a quote from Helen Keller: “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched-they must be felt within the heart.”

Relatives and friends are invited to Robert’s WALK THROUGH visitation on TUESDAY, April 6th from 9-11 AM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11 AM followed by his interment in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
