Barbara Anne (Dow) Copley

Barbara Anne (Dow) Copley, 90, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12 Fairhaven Rd. in Nashua, NH. She was born on October 25, 1930 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Royal Edward Dow and Annette Girard Dow.

She was the wife of James Noonan Copley. They were married on June 26, 1954 in Lowell, MA.

In addition to Barbara’s Nashua home, she lived with the family in Ogunquit, ME, Delray Beach FL, and two years in London England.

She graduated from Lowell High School and the Boston School of Practical Art. She was employed at Eastern Photo Litho in Lowell, MA as a commercial artist.

She enjoyed handcrafts including knitting, needlepoint, watercolor painting, and gardening. She was a lifetime member of the Lexington Arts and Craft Society in Lexington, MA.

Barbara is predeceased by her brother Royal E. Dow of Nashua, NH, her Sister Louise A. Dow of North Chelmsford, MA, and her Cousin Nancy Girard Knight of North Chelmsford, MA

Survivors include her husband James N. Copley of Nashua, NH; son Jay Copley of Nashua, NH; son Todd Copley and his wife Denise (Eaton) of Dover, NH, daughter Amy Copley of Nashua, nephew Christopher Knight and granddaughter Natalie Copley of Nashville, TN. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews of Copley, Dow, McCarron, Piekarski, Campbell, and Swiderski.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Rd, Nashua, NH 03062 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10 AM with Father Ray Labrie officiating. For those of you who cannot make it, the funeral service will be live streamed and is available from Immaculate Conceptions’ website starting at 9:45AM (www.iccnashuanh.org ).
