Paul Franklin Johnson

Aug 4, 2020

Paul Franklin Johnson, 64, of Nashua NH passed away peacefully on August 1st at the Arbors of Bedford, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you to all the wonderful heroes at The Arbors who took such good care of him.

Paul was born in Providence RI to Arnold and Lydia (Doolittle) Johnson on March 25, 1956. He spent much of his childhood in West Islip on Long Island, NY making and sailing boats with his father and brothers. In his teens the family moved to Amherst NH and Paul later attended Dartmouth College.

Paul had many business ventures over the years. As a creative software engineer, he was a co-founder and VP of Great American Software Inc., makers of One-Write Plus and Money Matters accounting software. He co-developed Bill Rogers’ WinTrainer software, co-founded Personal Performance Software of Amherst, and founded IT consulting firms Millenia Logix and Millennium Software Inc.

Paul was a quiet, thoughtful man with many varied interests. He loved music, played the keyboard, and sang in the Souhegan Valley Chorus with his Mom Lydia. He was an avid photographer and member of the Photographer’s Forum of Nashua, loved nature and bird watching with his wife Wendy. Together they traveled around the country searching for that perfect bird photo op. Paul loved politics and always supported the underdog. He was a founding member of Democracy for NH.

Paul was an amazing step father and mentor to his two stepchildren and their friends. He always had time to support their interests to the fullest. His legacy of caring and guidance will never be forgotten.

Paul is predeceased by his parents Arnold and Lydia Johnson, and is survived by his wife Wendy (Reed), his two stepchildren Jeffrey LeCours and wife Natasha from Merrimack, and Stephanie Infante from Nashua, and Hasnel Infante, who lovingly helped Paul as his at home care giver. He also leaves brothers Phil Johnson and wife Karen of Brookline, Peter Johnson of Nashua, sister Pam Hores of New Albany Ohio, nephews Andrew and Cameron Johnson, and nieces Nicole Hores and Audrey Johnson, and granddaughters Sydney and Madison LeCours and Liliana Reed Infante. We will all miss him terribly.
