Robert ‘Bob’ Dexter

NASHUA – Robert “Bob” Dexter, 79, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital. Bob is the beloved husband of Regina A. (Bates) Dexter with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Bob was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was the son of the late John N. and Helen (Dahlgren) Dexter. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines until he was honorably discharged.

Bob was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed tending to his yard. He loved his ice cream, jellybeans and day trips, especially to Maine. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply.

He was well known for his dry sense of humor and generosity. He was a supporter of Toys for Tots among other organizations.

In addition to his wife, Regina, he is survived by his four children, Robert P. Dexter Jr., Regina A. Dexter, Anna L. Katsiaficas and her husband Thomas, and Alicia M. Henderson and her husband Shawn all of Nashua; five grandsons, Evan, Kyle, and Colin Dexter and Ethan and Aidan Katsiaficas; a granddaughter, Abigail Henderson. He is also survived by his sister Janet Capone of Weymouth, MA; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by a son, Steven A. Dexter, brother Kenneth Dexter, and sister Anne Waycott.

Family and friends are invited to Bob’s WALK THROUGH visitation on FRIDAY, July 24 from 5 :30 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral will be held on SATURDAY, July 25th at 10AM in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua. Cremation will follow.
