NASHUA- Josephine Anne (Ratofl) Chevrette, 100, passed away of natural causes on July 6, 2020, at the Courville at Nashua, NH.

Jo Anne was born October 9, 1919, in Nashua, NH and was the daughter of the late John A. and Josephine (Staniewicz) Ratoff.

She was a resident, with her husband, of many locations including Nashua, NH; Amesbury, MA;

Dania Beach, FL; and most recently Port Richey, Florida and Seabrook, NH.

Prior to marriage she worked in the office at Nashua Corporation. After marriage she provided office support to her husband’s Dental Practice at 192Main St. in Amesbury, MAfor over 42 years.

Jo Anne was educated in local schools. She was a 1938 Nashua High School graduate.

While living in Amesbury she was an active hospital and red cross volunteer and participant in local drives for the Girl Scouts and similar church organizations. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts and playing cards with her husband and friends. She was an active communicant of local Catholic churches when in Seabrook and Port Richey.

Josephine is survived by her grandsons Jack Duggan Neil of Mill Valley, CA and Jorma Soucey from his daughter Candi Ann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of over 54 years Dr Paul A Chevrette, her daughter Candi Ann (Chevrette) Soucey; her son Paul Neil, aka Pagan Neil, of Mill Valley, CA; her three sisters Rachel Degasis, Agnes R. Kurta of Nashua, and Ann Hogan of Huntsville, TX. She was also predeceased by her five brothers Walter Ratoff of Elmhurst, NY; John J Ratoff of Exeter, NH; Stanley Ratoff of Edison, NJ; and Felix Ratoff and Robert Ratoff of Nashua, NH.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on TUESDAY, July 14th at 11 AM in Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephine’s name to Home, Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
