Dorothy I. (Dionne) Duquette

NASHUA – Dorothy I. (Dionne) Duquette, age 103 passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Inn at Fairview, Hudson, NH from declining health.

Dorothy was born on September 3, 1916 in Lowell, MA and was the daughter of Joseph and Emelina (Hebert) Dionne. Dorothy was their 6th child of 10 children.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Raoul F. Duquette and all her siblings.

Dorothy lived in the Crown Hill District with her husband Raoul all of their married life and was a communicant of Infant Jesus Church.

During her young life, she started her working career with many different jobs. The Mill Yard, St. Joseph hospital to name a few. She retired at 62 from Doehla Greeting Cards, a job she truly enjoyed for many years.

Dorothy’s enjoyment was her family. She would always cook large amounts of food to make sure that she would have enough for whomever stopped in. You never left her house hungry. She also loved reading a good book, doing crossword puzzles, doing puzzles and word searches. She loved a good card game and watching her beloved Boston Bruins.

She is survived by her twin daughters whom she was very proud of. Margaret and her husband, Robert Comire and their children: Mia (Peter) Daniels-Rhodes, Martha (Chuck) LeMahieu, Lisa (Greg Audet) Kaim. Marjorie and her husband William Makarawicz and their children: Keith (Laurie) Makarawicz and Kristi (Howard) Hirsch. Six great-grandchildren that she adored: Lauren and Devan Makarawicz, Nathan and Neko Hirsch, James LeMahieu and Gavin Audet.

Upon Dorothy’s request, there will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a Memorial Funeral Service will be held for immediate family only.

Our deepest thanks and appreciation for the compassionate care the nurse’s and LNA’s at the Inn at Fairview, “Parker” gave to Dorothy. Especially our three angels, C K H.
