Anne M. Tourigny

Anne Marie Tourigny, 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Merrimack, New Hampshire, after a lifetime of medical challenges, attended by Home Health and Hospice and The PLUS Company, who supported her in her home for almost 30 years.

Annie was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on June 4th 1956, to Maurice and Orina (Dumas) Tourigny. The only daughter of three children, Annie attended The Laconia State School from the age of about 9. When Annie was 35 years old, she returned to the Nashua area, living for many years in Merrimack, supported by the PLUS Company, living an enriched life in a home environment suited to her unique needs.

Annie was also supported vocationally by the Nashua Center’s Jobs, Etc. program, who provided Annie the support to learn many skills and participate meaningfully in a variety of activities. With their assistance, Annie began a card making business, selling her handmade stationary at local shops.

Annie had a great sense of humor, and her playfulness and grand smile engaged all around her. She appreciated the French language and music, and appreciated making noise herself! She attended church for part of her life at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga in Nashua.

She is survived by a brother, Ray Tourigny of Nashua, his wife Kim, niece Melissa (Tourigny) Cote, her husband Ryan Cote and their children Haley and Charles, nephew Jeremiah, his wife Raylynne and their son Ray, and other cousins and relatives. She is also survived by her PLUS Company and Nashua Center caregivers, Maureen, Elise, Beatrice and Shelyne and Toni, Linda and many others who cared for Annie like family.

She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Orina, and also her brother Charles.

SERVICES: A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 11:00 – 12:00 pm with a service to follow in the chapel of The Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Internment and committal prayers will directly follow at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03062.
