Paula Eileen Vernon

Paula Eileen Vernon, 76, of Nashua died on January 3, 2020 at Southern NH Medical Center. She was born on November 4, 1943 in Concord, New Hampshire to the late Paul and Beatrice Vernon.

Paula attended Kearney State College in Nebraska where she received a degree in education. Following her graduation, Paula went on to work as a teacher at Turtle Mountain Reservation Elementary School in North Dakota. She then went on the teach at Nashua High School North where she later retired.

In her free time Paula loved spending time with her friends and family as well as reading. Paula was a very special person; she became the first single woman in the state of North Dakota to adopt a child.

Paula was predeceased by her two nephews Andrew John Pulit and Paul Joseph Briggs.

Survivors include her daughter Shana Kelly and her spouse Gerald, her grandchildren McKenzie and Andrew Kelly, her sisters Janet Pulit and her husband John and Linda Briggs, as well as her nephew Dan Pulit and numerous other family and friends.

SERVICES: A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Paula’s loving memory may do so to the Nashua Humane Society, 24 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH 03064.
