Jan 7, 2020

John E. Bois passed away at home December 27, 2019 . He was born March 1, 1954 in Nashua, NH, and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Norman L. and Beatrice S. Bois also lifelong natives of Nashua.

He graduated from Nashua High School and through vocational apprenticeship and hands-on training, he became a skilled craftsman. He excelled in carpentry, home building, post-and-beam construction, restoration, masonry, metalworking, and the operation and repair of heavy equipment and farm machinery.

He was self-employed as a contractor for over 25 years, was also employed by the City of Nashua as a Lead Abatement inspector, and was a Justice of the Peace. His many interests included wood carving, antique tools, gardening, cooking, fishing, hunting, wood harvesting, and marksmanship.

He was a long-standing member of Nashua Fish and Game Club and served as a shooting range officer.

His one-of-a-kind personality, creativeness, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to help family members will be greatly missed. There are many memories of brothers baling hay together on hot summer days.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica Lane and her husband Will and his three favorite and much talked about granddaughters Leanne, Kairi, and Ariel of Harrisburg, PA.

He is also survived by three brothers: Ken N. and his life partner Kathleen of Nashua; Norman L. Jr. and his wife Sue of Hollis; and Scott L. and his wife Susan of Lyndeborough; and one sister: Norma and her husband Leo Guerette of Fallon, NV. He is also survived by one nephew and three nieces.

Per John’s request there will be no viewing hours or flowers. Donations in his memory can be sent to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
