Diana Moore Newman

Diana Moore Newman, 72, a long-time resident of Nashua, died December 29, 2019, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1947, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Dillenback) Moore.  Diana was a graduate of Bucknell University.  After college, she moved to New York City, where she later met and married Paul Newman, to whom she was married for 22 years, and had two children, Eric and Lindsay.

Diana had a rich and varied career, working in education and for local news media, then at Devine Millimet law firm, later at Digital Equipment Corporation/Hewlett Packard, and, for many of her later years, lead health and fitness programs aimed at the needs of seniors.  Diana epitomized kindness, putting the welfare of others before herself, and choosing a career of enriching lives with health and wellness. She taught a variety of group exercise classes, formed friendships and touched the lives of all she met at the Hunt Home, the Huntington and the YMCA. Spirituality was the cornerstone of her life on which she built a close relationship with God through the Church of the Good Shepherd and its fellow parishioners, where she served as a Eucharist Lay Minister.

Diana is survived by her two children, Eric Moore Newman and Lindsay Moore (Newman) Rumrill, grandson Parker Newman, sister Pamela Moore, brother Richard Moore, and a nephew and niece, Jack and Julia Moore.

SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 214 Main Street, Nashua, NH, on Friday January 3, 2020 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution to the Dana Farber Cancer Society.
