Sharron (Arnold) McLean

Oct 17, 2019

Sharron Marie (Arnold) McLean, 56, of Hudson, lost her hard fought battle to cancer on October 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Community Hospice Home in Merrimack.

Born in Nashua on September 30, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Roger Arnold and Delores Anne (Smith) Arnold, and she considered her mother’s partner of 17 years, Walter “Bud” Nichols, as her loving stepfather.

Sharron attended local schools, and was a member of the Alvirne High School, Class of 1981.

Before becoming ill, Sharron worked at Fairview Nursing Home, as well as the American Legion for many years.

To many, Sharron was known as one of the strongest people to walk on this earth. If she was your friend, she was your friend for life. She always stood up for the underdog, and loved so many that came into her life. She had a beautiful sense of humor, and has passed that trait to her children, as well as the love she had for people.

Some have defined Sharron as being a strong, fiery, and courageous woman, who loved to tell jokes and shock some, she had a strong compassion for others, and a great taste in shoes.

When she became ill, she was determined see her daughter graduate, and to make it to her son oldest son’s wedding. She rocked those goals, and then some. She will truly be missed forever.

Sharron was predeceased by her father, Roger Arnold; her loving Mother, Delores (Smith) Arnold and her stepfather, Walter “Bud” Nichols; her husband David Marston; and her dear brother, Kevin Riley.

Members of her family include her son David Marston and his wife Monica Auwaerter of Hookset, NH; her son Matthew Marston of Maine, her daughter Kayla McLean of Hudson, NH; her brother, William Riley and his wife Cathy of Hudson, NH; her sister Kerry (Riley) Green-Olson and her husband Tim of Colorado; her sister Laurie (Riley) Bellman of Hudson, NH; her aunts Phyllis Lackie and Joyce Hurd, both from Hudson, NH; several aunts and uncles, an abundance of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 26, 2019, 1:00-6:00 p.m., at the Hudson American Legion, Post 48, 1 Fulton Ave, Hudson NH.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Hills Farms Cemetery, Derry Road, Hudson, NH.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 172 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH 03060.
