Sharon Marie Kempton

Sharon Marie (Lavoie) Kempton, 73, died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 29th, 2019, following an 8year battle with Alzheimers, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was born on October 27, 1945 in Saco, Maine, the daughter of Hermas R. Lavoie and Vivian W. (Downer) Lavoie. She was the wife of Lee Kempton. They were married on September 22, 1979 in Nashua, NH, and shared 40 years of marriage together.

She graduated from Danvers High School, and then went on to graduate from Nashua Business School. She took her education into working for Sanders Associates/ BAE Systems, and then for Delta Education as a project manager.  She later expanded her expertise to help out with her family’s business, Kempton Rug of Nashua NH until the business was dissolved and the property sold in 2016 and the family moved to their retirement log cabin in Washington, NH.

She will be missed by the Nashua Swim & Tennis Club, of which she was a member for 15 years. Sharon was also a member of the Nashua Choral Society where she could bring high quality classical and contemporary choral music to the public.  Sharon’s creative nature also inspired her love of knitting, and counted cross stitching. 

Sharon is survived by her loving husband,  Lee Kempton, her daughter, Cheryl Doane Bouley and her husband Eric Bouley of Allenstown, her granddaughter, Kayla Roldan, her siblings, Ginny (Lavoie) Robinson and her husband Ed of Nashua, NH, Janet (Lavoie) Collins and her husband Wally of Orlando, FL, Dana Lavoie and his companion, Kellie Wardman of Dunbarton, NH, Doreen (Lavoie) Cindrich and her husband Jon of Orlando, FL. Sharon had six step-children, Christopher Kempton and his companion Benay Watts, Janice Jodoin and her husband Richard of Nashua NH, Jeffrey and his wife Kathy of Kissimmee, FL, Jay and Shelly Kempton of Hollis, NH, Rodney Kempton and his companion Tuyet of Kissimmee, FL and Matthew Kempton of Brookline NH. She had 13 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held privately. Interment will be on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00 am at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
