Normand Jalbert

Normand Jalbert peacefully passed on Sept. 19, 2019, with the love of his life by his side.

Normand was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Nashua.

He was predeceased by his parents, Juliette (Boivin) and Aime Jalbert, and siblings: Aime, Annette, Gertrude, Evet, and Laurette. He is survived by his adoring wife, Joan (Morrison) Jalbert, sons, Andy and his wife Annemarie Jalbert and John Jalbert; “bonus” sons, Erol and his wife Kristin Duymazlar, Hasan Duymazlar, Levent and his wife Amy Duymazlar and Mehmet Duymazlar. He is also survived by his beloved grandkids: Zachary, Kyle Jalbert, Neal, Ashleigh Jalbert, Leyla, Ava, Sofia, Erin, Emerson, and Rhealyn Duymazlar, Keelin and Michaela Dunn.

He is also survived by his siblings, Irene Jalbert and Rolande Knight.

As a teen, Normand worked at The Yankee Flyer in Nashua. He was later drafted into the Army, where he played the trumpet in the band, having once played for President John F. Kennedy. He also served for the U.S. in Berlin, Germany. He returned to Nashua, N.H., where he worked for Sanders/BAE. Later in life, he often entertained seniors at various nursing homes in throughout New Hampshire, playing the piano, bringing smiles to many a face.

He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, located at 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H. 03303.
