Leslie ‘Les’ Albert Lambert

NASHUA – Leslie (Les) Albert Lambert, 81, died peacefully, Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Marcia (Ryan) Lambert with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Les was born in Nashua on December 31, 1937 and was the son of the late Theodore A. and Antoinette (Forcier) Lambert. Leslie was predeceased by his two sons, William and Mark Lambert.

Upon graduating from Nashua High School (Class of 1955), he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Pease Air Force Base. He served our country proudly.

For 33 years, Les was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Nashua. He served as union steward for many years, organized the retiree breakfasts, worked on the food drives, working for Jerry’s Kids fundraising for muscular dystrophy and other community projects as well as attended numerous conventions representing the Nashua Postal Workers

Upon retirement from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992, he was employed part time with both Medicine World and Peters of Nashua.

Les also served proudly on the Board of Directors for Granite State Credit Union for 55 years

His world always revolved around his family and their dogswhom he loved. He enjoyed day trips, camping (in his younger years), traveling and puttering around his house/yard. Since 1999, Les has passionately helped build and manage the family’s apartment rental business, serving as the “Boss” of Lambert Properties.

In addition to his wife, Marcia, Les is survived by his four children, Michael Lambert and his partner Lynda of Hollis, Laura Lambert of Manchester, Lisa Lambert and her husband Kevin Burns of Lincoln, and Matthew Lambert of Manchester;his three grandchildren Ryan Griffin and his wife Lisa Marie of Saginaw, TX, Corey Griffin and his partner Alex Dupre of Brooklyn, NY and Cody Lacombe and his partner Rachel McCann of Litchfield, NH; two step-grandchildren, Trisha Guest and her husband Michael of Amherst, NH and Shawn Kelloway of Brooklyn, NY; his four great-grandchildren as well as two siblings, Theodore Lambert of Jacksonville, FL and Richard Lambert of Nashua; his aunt Tera Lambert and several nieces, nephews, and cousins and his loving dog Zeus.

Relatives and friends are invited to Les’ visitation on TUESDAY, October 1st from 5 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Burial will take place at the family’s convenience at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
