Gerry D. Porter

Gerry D. Porter, 82, of New Boston NH, passed away peacefully August 14, 2019 from complications related to Parkinson’s disease. His loving wife by his side. Born December 25,1936 to the late Robert and Mae (Dicker) Porter of Lisbon Falls Maine. Gerry graduated from Lisbon Falls High School in1955 and moved to Chicago to attend DeVry University. He was drafted by the US Army and served 2 years in Germany, specializing in nuclear and atomic electronics. Upon his return he graduated from North Eastern University with a degree in engineering and was employed throughout most of his career as a Sales and Marketing Manager for Microwave Associates.Gerry was a self taught “fix it” man, no job was ever too small. He had a passion for classic cars and loved working on his 57 Chevy. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and raising horses. Gerry had a great love for his family and was a proud Grandfather. Gerry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cindy (Weeks) Porter, his children Anthony Porter and Andrea Sahagian, sister Gloria Karkos of NC, brother Jerry Porter of OR and his grandchildren Averil, Kate and Noah Sahagian. He was preceded in death by his brother Ernest Porter.Gerry will be remembered by his family in a private celebration of his life.
