Kristen Lee Coy

Aug 17, 2019

Kristen Lee Coy, 36, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on August 3, 2019 in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Myrton G. Coy, Jr. and Maureen P. (Bradley) Coy, whom she adored. She was also predeceased by her maternal grandfather Robert Bradley and paternal grandparents Myrton G. Coy, Sr. and Bernice Coy. Kristen was born on August 12, 1982 in Nashua, NH and later moved to Milford, where she proudly attended Milford schools. Kristen went on to further her education and graduate from Castelton College in Vermont and Boston University, obtaining degrees in criminal justice, something she was most passionate about.

In life, Kristen had a quick wit, spoke fluent sarcasm and had a stubborn, rebellious spirit. She also had a heart of gold, a sympathetic and compassionate soul and was fiercely loyal to the people she loved. Her sense of humor, though dark at times, could put a smile on the face of anyone. Though she was small in stature, the energy she projected was ginormous. She prided herself on being her parent’s “miracle baby,” something that always made her closest friends laugh.

She had many passions, especially music, including Madonna, No Doubt, Fleetwood Mac and Electronic Dance Music. She always talked about wanting to become a DJ and her iTunes library was the absolute best. She had a song for everything. She also treasured visiting her family’s summer home in Marshfield, MA and found a strong sense of nostalgia and peace there. She was a true townie and loved her town of Milford, NH. She met some of her closest friends there and considered it to be her lifelong home, no matter where she ended up. She loved the restaurants and shops on The Oval, The Milford Pumpkin Festival, looking at the Christmas lights and just being “home.” She cherished playing basketball in middle school and high school and always talked about the happiness she felt from those teams. She enjoyed working at the Milford Shaw’s in high school and even spent her days off there, visiting her friends at work. They eventually had to make a rule about how much time she could actually spend there – Kristen probably loved that. She had a passion for cooking, especially the recipes that her mom handed down to her and serving them to family and friends, made her extremely happy. She also loved watching The New England Patriots, visits to P-Town, classic Winnie-the-Pooh and had a huge place in her heart for animals.

Kristen is survived by a large and loving family, including her brothers Michael A. Coy (Amy) and Gregory A. Coy (Jen), sister Michelle Lee Spark (Glenn), nephews Corey J. Levesque (Brittany), Neil G. Spark, Timothy, Grant, Mitchell and Connor Coy, nieces Abby, Mackenzie and Maddie Coy, maternal grandmother Patricia Bradley, aunts Diane Bradley (Tom Holland) and Dorothy Hartnett (Tom), uncles Phillip Bradley (Vicky Kooi), William Bradley (Pam) and Richard Bradley (Mary), cousins Christopher, Megan and Colleen Bradley; Luke and Jack Hartnett; Allison, Megan, Joseph and Danny Bradley, Danny Moore and Emilia Devine. Her Godmother, Lena-Marie Lehner. She is also survived by her close friends Liz (Cannon) Latulippe, Jennifer Vergados, Marshall Traverse, Adam Burke and Charlene Wentworth-Flores along with many others. Kristen will be sorely missed and in the words of Winnie the Pooh, “You may be gone from my sight, but you are never gone from my heart.”

There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 14th at 10:30 am in Riverside Cemetery, 454 Nashua St ,Milford, NH.
