Irene Plante

Irene Plante, 96, of Nashua, passed away on June 19, 2019. She was born on March 23, 1923 in Berlin, NH, daughter of the late Alfonse and Mary Louise (Levesque) St. Pierre.

Irene was born and raised in Berlin, NH and at the age of 18 moved to Nashua where she was a mill girl. Later in life she owned an upholstery and drapery business- Pinet Upholstering, with her late husband Gerard Plante. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and having her cup of tea.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Gloria Plante, her siblings, Cecile Belanger, Jeanette L’Heureux, Pauline Lariviere, Yvette Routhier, Henry St. Pierre, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband’s Antonio La Pointe (1944) and Gerard Plante (1972), two sisters, Beatrice Belanger and Eva Roberge, and a baby sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 10th at 10:00AM at St. John XXIII Parish, 121 Allds St. Nashua. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
