Barbara (O’Neill) Meaney

Barbara (O’Neill) Meaney, 74, died Sunday June 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on November 10, 1944 in Salem, MA to the late William and June (Paine) O’Neill.

Barbara had a passion for education and was proud to be a teacher in the Hudson School District until her retirement. Since that time she enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband, James Meaney, and spending time with her children and her many grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her adoring husband, James of Hudson; two sons James Meaney and wife Pam of Merrimack and Chris Meaney and wife Amy of Pelham; three daughters, Sheryl McCarthy and husband Sean of Penacook, Kathleen Hanssen and husband Justin of Merrimack and Dorene Pelletier of Hudson; two sisters, Kathleen O’Neill of Lynn, MA and Donna O’Neill and her partner Anne Mulvey; a brother, William O’Neill; twelve grandchildren, Noelle, Demerese, Jaddus, Ryan, Jordan, Mckaela, Aidan, Dillon, Erin, Colin, Megan and Sarah and she will be missed terribly by all family and friends alike.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 6th from 4-7pm at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following morning at 10am in St. John Newman Church, 708 Milford Rd. Merrimack, NH. Burial will take place following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson.
