Laurie J. Burnham

MILFORD – Laurie Jane Burnham, 57, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on March 12, 2019 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on May 20, 1961 in Quincy, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late William R. & Charlotte N. (Bates) Letham.

Laurie was raised and educated in Scituate, MA and graduated from Scituate High School class of 1979. She graduated from Quincy Junior College and began her nursing career at Cardinal Cushing Hospital. For the past 18 years Laurie had been employed at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH as a Nurse and Clinical Analyst II.

She enjoyed spending time with family. Laurie had a passion for traveling, especially cruising throughout the Caribbean and vacationing in Mexico. When she wasn’t traveling she volunteered her time for multiple animal rescues.

Family members include her loving husband of thirty one years, David R. Burnham III of Milford, NH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David R. “Randy” Burnham IV and Angelle Burnham of Deerfield, NH, Jack C. Burnham of Saratoga Springs, NY; a grandson, Riley J. Burnham; her twin brothers, Richard Letham of Westborough, MA and Robert Letham of Stowe, ME, her brother, William Letham of Japan; two sisters, Suzanne Porter of Middleborough, MA and Carol Haugstad of Kingston, MA; two aunts, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 18th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, March 19th at 10:00am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice House.
