Frederick Steinbrecher Sr.

AMHERST – Frederick A. Steinbrecher, Sr., 83, resident of Amherst, NH died on March 11, 2019 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH surrounded by his family.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 20, 1935, a son of Henrich and Martha G. (Arnold) Steinbrecher.

Fred made his home in Amherst for more than 40 years. He enjoyed working in his yard and never had to call a repairman because he could fix anything.

He had been employed by RCA in New Jersey, Sanders Associates, Nashua and retired from the Harris Corporation, Nashua.

Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan L. (Dehn) Steinbrecher, who died in 2002.

Family members include four children, Frederick A. Steinbrecher, Jr. of Amherst, NH, Christian and Lisa Steinbrecher of Milford, NH, Kurt Steinbrecher of Milford, NH and Barbara Steinbrecher of Concord, NH; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are on Friday, March 15th 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, in the spring.
