George Peter Adamaitis

George P. Adamaitis, 77, lifelong resident of Nashua, NH died Sunday June 17, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loved ones.

He was the son of the late Theodore and Edna Adamaitis. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Theodore Adamaitis Jr. and Donald Adamaitis.

After graduating from High School, George went on to serve in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge from the service, George went on to attend college and work for the Traffic Department at the former Nashua Corporation. He also held both President and Chairman of the Board positions at the Triangle Credit Union and retired from his position several years ago.

George was an avid fisherman, a hobby he enjoyed for a number of years with his friends and his grand-daughters. He also enjoyed playing basketball and handball over the course of his lifetime. He enjoyed cooking and loved the New England Patriots, but most of all, George enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 55 years, Rita Adamaitis, of Nashua; two daughters and son-in-laws, Linda Langsten and her husband Mario, of Bedford, NH, Laura Levesque and her husband Yvan, of Methuen, MA; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Langsten and Ella Levesque; two brothers, Carl Nadeau, of Sarasota, FL and Paul Nadeau, of Louisville, KY; one sister, Virgie Gosselin, of Nashua as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Rd., Nashua, NH 03062. A Visitation will be held prior to mass at the church at 9:00 am, until time of service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be held at a later date at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s loving memory to: Home Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054 or to National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
