Cheryl ‘Sherrie’ Grycell

NASHUA- Cheryl ‘Sherrie’ Grycell, 66, of Nashua, NH and North Kingstown, RI, died on April 4, 2018. Beloved daughter of the late Stephen Grycell and Margaret Fraser; beloved stepdaughter of the late Livia (Petrini) Grycell. She was also the sister of the late Steven Grycell of Mt. Home, Arkansas. She is survived by her nephew, Jamie Grycell and her step-sister, Carol Esposito of Dusseldorf, Germany.

Sherrie graduated from North Kingstown High School. As a young woman she loved the beach and was a frequent summer visitor to Narragansett and Scarborough. Boating on the Bay was a favorite activity; as was dancing and listening to music, especially the Blues. She managed Ericson Travel in East Greenwich, RI, Bain and Co. Travel office for Thomas Cook in Cambridge, MA and was a corporate travel agent for American Express Emergency Travel Service in Cambridge.

Sherrie was an avid reader and loved a good mystery novel. She liked to go to the annual Wickford Art Festival and tried her hand at several crafts. For many years Sherrie suffered from the debilitating effects of Fibromyalgia yet maintained a positive outlook and a ‘smile’ in her voice. She loved animals, especially her longtime feline companions Abbey and Nikki.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sherrie’s Remembrance Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua on THURSDAY, June 21st at 12:05 PM. Sherrie’s Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown, Rhode Island on FRIDAY, June 29th at 10 AM followed by her burial in the Grycell family plot in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, West Greenwich, Rhode Island
