Stanley V. Fidler

NASHUA – Stanley V. “Ace,” “The Snapper” Fidler, 88, died peacefully Tuesday evening, May 29, 2018 at Courville Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was the beloved husband of the late Marie V. (Murray) Fidler.

Stanley was born in Boston, MA on December 31, 1929 and was the son of the late Stanley R. and Janet (Dick) Fidler.

He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a supervisor for Jordan Marsh for many years. He also worked as a circulation manager for the Transcript newspaper.

In his free time, Ace was an avid bowler and was a Red Sox, Bruins, and Green Bay Packers fan. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family.

Stanley is survived by his two sons, Robert Fidler and his wife Mary of Nashua and Mark Fidler and his wife Janice of Milford; his eight grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Amanda, Laura, Angela, Cristina, Courtney, and Michael; as well as his five great-grandchildren, Shawn Paul, Jacob, Elizabeth, Mason, and Carson. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine McHugo of MA, and his son-in-law, Dominic Bettinelli of Southborough, MA.

In addition to his wife, Marie, he was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Ellen Bettinelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to Stanley’s visitation on SUNDAY, June 3rd from 4 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Graveside service and interment will be held on MONDAY at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 Lagrange Street, Boston, MA. Everyone is invited to meet at the cemetery.
