Florence A. Phaneuf

Florence A. Phaneuf, 94, of Nashua, NH, passed away at home on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born on January 27, 1924, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Joseph Larose and Marie Anne (Gagnon) Larose.

Florence was the beloved wife of Leo J. Phaneuf for 73 years. She was the last surviving member of the Larose children that owned and ran the Modern Restaurant. She was a standout bowler, softball and basketball player well into her thirties. She remained an avid athlete throughout her life, playing golf into her mid-eighties. Florence was a member of the Nashua Country Club for 65 years.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Phaneuf) Belair and Ann Marie Phaneuf; son-in-law, Normand Belair; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florence is predeceased by her husband, Leo Phaneuf.
