Alma ‘Patricia’ (Young) McNulty

Alma “Patricia” (Young) McNulty, 86, of Manchester, NH and formerly of Hudson, NH, died Sunday, March 11th, 2018 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

Patricia was born August 8,1931 in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Alma (Berube) Young. She was also predeceased by her brother, Ralph Young. She was the wife of Thomas McNulty of Manchester, NH, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Patricia was a graduate of Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Boston, MA where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse (RN) and was awarded the prestigious Florence Nightingale Award in Nursing. She excelled in her career as an RN.

“Patty” can be best described as a very caring, loving and compassionate person in every aspect of her life. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were endless. She touched countless lives in significant ways with her gentle, giving spirit and beautiful heart.

Her beloved family includes her son, Brian McNulty and his wife Marcia of MA, her two daughters, Susan Campbell and her husband John of FL and Colleen Gray and her partner David of CA, two grandchildren, Matthew McNulty of NY, and Elizabeth McNulty of MA, a sister, M. Therese Blamire of MA and her children Ellen, Nancy and Bruce, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC), 480 Donald Street, Bedford, NH 03110; in memo, please note “Alma Patricia McNulty Memorial Fund.” Patricia was lovingly cared for by the excellent staff at BNRC as her health declined. All of the funds will be placed in an account for residents in need while at BNRC.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 18th inTHE DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., IN HUDSON, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 19th at 10am in St. Kathryn Parish, 4 Dracut Rd in Hudson. All may meet at church. A graveside service will be held at 2pm in St. Mary Cemetery, 29 Barker St. in Lawrence, MA. All may meet at the cemetery.
