Duane Ray Coss

Duane Ray Coss, 52, of Merrimack, died August 14, 2011 at the Merrimack Hospice House after a courageous battle against glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer.

He was born October 11, 1958 in Zanesville, OH, the son of Ray J. and Rosalie (Anderson) Coss.

He worked for 29 years as an electrical engineer, most recently at BAE Systems in Hudson, NH.

Duane served as a deacon of the church at Johnson Street Church of Christ in Greenville, TX. He also served as a deacon and elder, as well as a Bible class teacher at the Manchester Church of Christ.

He leaves his wife of 30 years, Darby S. (Grubb) Coss of Merrimack; two daughters, Kara Ellis and her husband, Jerry, of Jacksonville, AR and Kaitlin Coss of Nashville, TN; a grandson, Asher Ellis of Jacksonville, AR; his parents, Ray and Rosalie Coss of Zanesville, OH; two sisters, Deborah Pace and her husband, Mike, of Hartselle, AL and Diana Hall of Zanesville, OH; six nieces and two nephews.

He will be mourned by numerous friends and coworkers.

Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH.

The funeral is Friday at 1 pm at the Manchester Church of Christ, 66 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
