Student arrested in stabbing at Brockton High School
BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — A Brockton High School student is accused of stabbing another student at the school on Friday.
Brockton police said they arrested a 17-year-old suspect who fled the school after the stabbing but was later apprehended by police.
Police did not release the student’s name.
The victim was alert and responsive after the stabbing and was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
The stabbing took place around 12:30 p.m. and briefly led to a “stay in place” order at the school of about 4,300 students.
