Maine requiring ATVs to be registered again

By Staff | Jul 3, 2020

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine has lifted suspensions on registration of all-terrain vehicles, and ATV owners must now register or renew them.

ATV registrations are valid from July 1 to June 30, 2021, the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry said. It’s possible to renew online.

New registrations must be made through a registration agent or the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife’s main office in Augusta.

The state charges fees for ATV registration that are used to build and maintain its trail system. The fees also support ATV clubs and volunteers who work to maintain the trails, the forestry department said.
