SALEM – A vehicle traveling on Stiles Road near the intersection of Pelham Road was crushed by a large tree brought down by heavy wind.

Salem fire and EMS worked to remove the occupant of the vehicle and the person was rushed to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Utility lines were bought down on Stiles Road disconnecting power to some businesses and the traffic control lights.

The vehicle was towed by TNT Auto Recover of Salem, and was totally crushed, leaving hardly any room in the front driver and passenger compartment.
