69th annual Greeley Park Art Show is Aug. 20-21

NASHUA – The Nashua Area Artists Association will present the 69th annual Greeley Park Art Show, featuring more than 45 outstanding artists.

The show has been a summer tradition in Nashua since the early 1950s, and a beloved part of Nashua’s history. Artists will be exhibiting their artwork on Saturday, Aug. 20 and Sunday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Greeley Park, located at 100 Concord St. in Nashua.

There is no charge for attending the show, and there is plenty of free parking.

Artists will be displaying their artwork in diverse mediums such as oils, acrylic, watercolors, pastels/drawing, mixed media, jewelry, photography and digital art. Works vary in price range from $20 to more than $1,000.

The weekend will feature adult art competition on Saturday, and the popular EAST/student art competition on Sunday for kids 6-18. Puppet shows on both days, “Kindness Rocks” where attendees can paint their own kindness rocks to keep or share.

Attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets during the show to benefit the NAAA Educational Fund. Items include donated art works from the artists and gift certificates from area merchants. Names will be chosen at random on Sunday afternoon, but attendees do not have to be there to win. The Educational Fund helps the NAAA with EAST/kids shows, community outreach, demonstrations, and of course the annual scholarships.

For art lovers across the region, it just isn’t summer without the Greeley Park Art Show. We welcome everyone to come spend a few hours enjoying the work of talented artists, participate in one the Nashua community’s landmark events.
