The Barbecue Benefit Bash fundraiser for the Nashua Children's Home, scheduled for Aug. 27, has been postponed to a future date, which will be announced when it is confirmed.

NASHUA — Unexpected developments in the planning process for this month’s second annual Barbecue Benefit Bash have forced organizers to postpone the event to a later date.

Originally scheduled for Aug. 27, the bash, which more than doubled its fundraising goal for last year’s debut event, will be rescheduled for sometime later this year.

That date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed, organizers said.

Featuring a ribs and chicken barbecue, live music, auctions, raffles and this year, the addition of a comedian and possibly a fireworks show, the bash is expected to take place at Alpine Grove in Hollis, as originally planned.
