Suspect arrested on warrant from alleged November domestic assault reported to police in December
Steven Brennan, 54, of Nashua
NASHUA — Police over the weekend took into custody Nashua resident Steven Brennan on a warrant that was issued for his arrest shortly after officers took a report of a domestic violence-related assault two months ago.
Brennan, 54, is accused of strangling, punching and kicking the alleged victim, described as a woman who is known to Brennan, police said.
The woman sustained injuries for which she was hospitalized for treatment, police said.
Officers who took the report in December learned that the alleged incident took place in November, police added.
Based on the allegations in the report, police charged Brennan with one count of second-degree assault — domestic violence, a Class B felony, along with four counts of domestic violence – simple assault, which are Class A misdemeanors.
Brennan was booked on the charges and later released on $500 cash bail, police said. He will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on a date that has yet to be determined.
