Nashua library and League of Women Voters host first of three candidate forums Wednesday evening
NASHUA — Voters interested in learning more about the candidates running for the Board of Aldermen and Board of Education in the Nov. 2 election are encouraged to attend, virtually, the three upcoming forums, the first of which is Wednesday evening.
The forum, scheduled to take place via Zoom from 6:30 – 8 p.m., will feature the candidates for the three open alderman-at-large seats.
The second forum, on Tuesday, Oct. 5, will feature the candidates for ward alderman, in three groups: Wards 1-3, from 6 – 6:50 p.m.; Wards 4-6, from 7 – 7:50 p.m., and Wards 7-9 from 8 – 8:50 p.m.
And candidates running for the four open seats on the Board of Education will be featured at the third forum, scheduled for 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21.
Co-hosting the event with the library is the Greater Nashua chapter of the New Hampshire League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to “protecting and expanding voting rights” and “educating voters about the candidates on their (respective) ballots” and about the election process in general.
The organization “neither supports nor opposes any candidate or political party,” according to its mission statement.
To register for the forum, which will take place via Zoom, go to tinyurl.com/nplforum.
Anyone wishing to submit questions to one or more of the candidates must do to in advance. The link for posting questions can also be found at tinyurl.com/nplforum.
